Gray Duck Lighting installs permanent roofline lighting — one install, no more ladders every November, and accent lighting the rest of the year. Most homeowners in the Twin Cities have never been offered it. We hire experienced door-to-door closers to change that.

The role

Knock, present on a tablet, quote on the spot, and close in the home. Our crew installs. Our CRM follows up. You sell.

The pay

Commission only and uncapped — experienced closers should expect $60,000 to $100,000. You keep what you generate; there is no sales-manager override on your deals. You are paid on installed work.

Who does well here

Reps coming off a solar, pest, alarm, roofing, or fiber season who would rather keep closing through the winter than wait for spring. You should be able to tell us what you've knocked and what you've closed.

What this is honestly like

We are a new company. Advertising is only now coming online, so the first jobs you close will mostly be ones you generate yourself. That is exactly why the commission is structured the way it is: self-generated work pays you in full. As company leads come on, you'll get those too.

Minnesota in November is cold. Homeowners are home, though, and they're thinking about lights.

Who this isn't for

Canvassers, appointment setters, or anyone who needs a base salary. If you haven't closed in the home before, this isn't the place to learn.
