It is not perfect — control is cloud-dependent and the base warranty is 5-year parts, 1-year labor, not the “lifetime” some marketing implies. Every fixture individually addressable. The controller runs eight independent zones — peaks, porch, and garage each doing their own thing — with scenes, schedules, sunset timers, and music sync from the app.
50,000-hour LEDs
Bosso's published diode rating: at five to six hours a night, that's over 20 years of use. Works with Alexa, Google Home, Siri, and Control4. Track comes color-matched to your fascia in three profiles.
What Bosso doesn't publish: an IP weather rating, an operating temperature range, or LED spacing. That's common in this category — of the six brands we've compared, only the DIY kits publish cold ratings — but it means your winter protection is the install spec, not the brochure.

Wins: light output, true warm white, and the app — which matters more than people expect, because the app is the product you actually use every day. Doesn't win: the base warranty is 5-year parts and 1-year labor, which is standard for the category but shorter than Gemstone's published lifetime-lights coverage. And control runs through the cloud — there's no offline mode today, so a dead internet connection means the schedule keeps running but you can't change scenes until it's back.
Two more things we'll flag because nobody else will. Bosso's app sells an optional monthly subscription whose perks include a “lifetime warranty” — a warranty that stops when the payments stop is a service contract, not a warranty. And a manufacturer parts warranty covers the part, not the visit: somebody still has to come diagnose it, get up there, and swap it. That labor is the part worth asking every installer about, including us.
